Hi,

If I'm not mistaking the valve covers of the second engine series for the Paso were originally painted gold/sand color to indicate the improved camshaft construction. The timing belt and clutch cover should be black however: mat or satin black. I don't have a color code, but I think many high quality heat resistant paint are available in the right color. Check out VHT for instance:

http://www.vhtpaint.com/high-heat/vht-f ... of-coating

I used the Flameproof for my Paso's silencers and it looks the color comes very near to the paint originally used on the engine. One tip (as I learned the hard way): if you choose to bake the paint by warming up the engine instead of putting the parts in the oven, then be careful with dusty roads. After being freshly applied and warmed up the first time the VHT paint gets soft first before curing

Good luck!

Grtz, Ronald
