Rear disc brake

Post by nojapan »

Dear Enthusiast,
I would need a rear brake for 750 wheels.
Do I need to look for it only as Ducati Paso 750 or it is compatible with other motorcycles?
Thanks for your help!

Rear brake is the same as the 906 Paso and 750 sport (NOT the 907 !), but what do you need: disk, caliper, caliper mounting bracket .....?
Assuming you have the master brake cylinder and will buy new brake pads and brake line?!
The caliper, a Brembo P108, is relatively easy to find new or used (ebay etc.).
The disk, new, is a bit more difficult but a good second hand does the job - though you have to clean it or even sometimes you have de-rust it, which isn't to difficult with some sandpaper)

Same with the caliper mounting bracket: relatively easy to find sevond hand, a.o. ebay

Sorry Frank,
just the disc, for the rest I have all.
Thanks for the link but to get the disc in Italy it will cost too much.
I will look locally.
Thanks.

All goodmorning,
as I did not find new discs at cheap price I decided to ask to a local producer to make it for me.
I already asked to RS BIKES located in Italy several discs and for the Paso rear one he asked me 60 euro + shipping.
I checked into the web and found the following measures:

EXT diam 270mm
INT diam 139mm
CENTER HOLES at 154mm
HOLES diam 6,5mm

Is that correct? I want to be sure before to place the order.
THANKS !

The holes for the screws are 8,1mm as they are M8 bolts.
The inner diameter of 139mm seems too big. I have an adapter for a Marvic rim and it's diameter is 136mm so the disc should be only slightly larger.

Assume it is a stainless steel disk?
To be honest, it's quit cheap especially for a one off .....
I paid for a stainless steel version 137 euro's.
