Painting

Post by Pastr »

Hi
Someone know the original color specification of the 1986 paso?
It's not red but red with some orange.
Right mirror and front wheel cover need to be paint. I painted them with duc-41 and it's Too red with sparkles. I think it's from the 906.

This could be the basic formula

Grey Undercoat: G6
Price Code:
Revision Date: 4/21/04
Code Description Cum.
825 2K TINT. SURFACER 1,267.60
500 WHITE 1,409.10
501 BLUE BLACK 1,466.40
534 VIOLET 1,492.80
508 YELLOW OXIDE 1,506.80
504 FAST BLUE 1,508.30

Solid Content (g): 1007.1
Solvent Content (g): 501.1

Main Layer: DUC.473.101
Price Code:
Revision Date: 10/4/06
Code Description Cum.
447 BRIGHT RED 599.50
441 CARMINE 910.30
444 BORDEAUX 974.90
428 VERDANT YELLOW 1,016.40
404 TRACE BLUE BLACK 1,034.80

Use undercoat G6 for maximum hiding

Solid Content (g): 241.1
Solvent Content (g): 77.9

However on my 907 there is no evidence of gray undercoat only white same on the 906. Have not delved thet deeply into the 750
I can tell all 3 are different shades of red which from what I can see is the amount of orange and blue in the formulation

I have been at the paint shop.
At the color spread sheet (don't know how you call it)found the closest color to the original paso is DUC-46
by mistake I looked at the paint shop computer, 3 rows under the DUC- 46, i see "Duc 46354 - rosso 65209 PASO" and written "fit 1987".
I have told him "this is the color, do that, even if it is not in the spread sheets.
exactly the color!!!
See Attached, keep it for the feature.
