Big Bore Kit

Post by ojenson »

Does anyone know if there was ever a big bore kit made for the paso? Would anyone still make one?

I don't recall ever hearing of one ... if you wanted to go that route, you could always have a shop do the machining for you I suppose. But on an almost 20yo bike, you're probably going to do all your own R&D for the most part.

Why not just find a 907ie?
Just because you're not dead doesn't necessarily mean you're living, either.

yes there are. Just check some Duc tuners.
I have a 780cc kit on my Paso. If you don`t find the correct one take the one from the SS/Monster. The cooling fins on the cylinders are a bit smaller, but there`s an additional oil channel in the cylinder. This will mean wou`ll have to grind of a little part of the inner edge of the engine bore. Sorry don`t know the correct word, basically the surface you lay the cylinder gasket on.
This was done on my bike.
