Us Bike or US Cal Spec

Ok, so how do you tell a US spec from a Cal US spec bike?

I think that all Ducs that come to the USA are california spec bikes.

WHy?

Red, US, non-California:
1986 - 392

Red, US, California:
1988 - 350
White, non-US:

1987 - 50 each California and non-California

an extract straight from FAQ number of 750 Paso's also because mine is blue now is it one of the 250 US Cal or one of the 305 US ones and how can I tell?

possibly via the vin number you can tell which year it was and go from there otherwise maybe contact the factory in italy or the us importer that was importing them as records may have been kept.

One way is to look at the ignition system. If it has one pickup sensor on the outside of the flywheel, in about the 1 o'clock postion, then it is a California model. Others had two pickups that can be adjusted, just like later SS and Monsters. Of course this was a bizare time in Ducati history, so evrything is suspect.
