Euro tailight You can find only from EBAY, or used one from somewhere. Not anymore from Ducati.

Well not getting the LTD. I went there with cash in hand ready to buy bike cause owner described that it was MINT ,low miles etc.... Well it was low miles, but it had been tipped over, repaired by owner:ugh . Didn't even sand before painting. cracks everywhere, looking at eng bay from behind front wheel was scary. Rust, corrosion on the eng, forks had rust. He stated that it stays in garage... What, under a waterfall!!!! So I guess I will see what catches my eye again. Thanks everybody for all the responses

I talked to that seller by phone and he left me with the idea that I could fly in and ride that bike 800 miles home :screwy: . I am so glad someone here saw it first.

Many thanks
Garnet

Garnet, was that the one in Aptos CA in the SF bay craigslist? He mentioned he had cals all the way from Canada. Must of been you.Very nice guy, but I don't know if he was playin dumb. he said he didn't put "mint " in the description. He told his wife to put excel cond. It wasn't even close. Maybe good needing TLC... No sidestand, cracks and repairs in fairing, gunk all over eng, tires dry rottd!!! I was so sad. I was so looking forward to buying tires and riding it. And it looked way beyong 8k miles. I've raced and did many trackdays. Those tires looked way more than that. I wonder what the inside of tank looked like. I didn't bother. And he was firm on the price...He had. Glad you did fly down.

Good thing you stayed up there. Man I had some serious typos. Sorry. There are a few red ones around... So how hard are parts to find for these ? I might be better off getting an SS. I just always liked the fully faired enclosed look. This is after all the bike that got me hooked on Ducs.

From my limited knowladge the 91 on SS seems to be a much better developed bike. It has a more agresive ridding position and is much lighter, but not as seroius as a 99 on. As I charge headlong into midlife those higher bars seem to be more important than ultimate cornering ability  .

So Nomoduc, what did you end up doing? Perhaps yer no longer lurking here.
As for me, at well past "midlife", I'm with Garnet. Ultimate cornering takes second place to riding comfort, although the Paso is a very good handling machine (as long as you don't grab some front brake mid-corner). I can ride it all day down here in the San Diego foot hills, and have fun doing it.

Well Sheldon, I decided to keep my toy(90 hawk gt) for now and pass on the Pasos. As for comfort, I know whatb you and garnet mean. I'm 42 now, but I still like to ride the track and semi aggressive on the street. This hawk keeps me safe. Compared to riding a repli-racer. I still love the Pasos. They're what addicted me to Ducati. I'm leaning towards the new Classic collection. The 1000 Sport catches my eye. Maybe this Spring...Unless the wife has something to say about it,hahaha

I don't love the replica bikes.
For the same price I would buy an original bevel 900ss (or sd) ... and a Paso :D :D :D :D .
I have always loved her, a 906 was my first love, and I can't forget the first love... :D :D :D :D .
Besides, she don't tell me anything, even when I'm plannig to buy another bike.... :D :D :D :D .

Don't worry.
I've seen the hawk gt has 58 hp. The Paso 750 hasn't much more...
So, you could buy her.

I've seen the prices of the bevel Ducs in USA     .

Francesco's right; the prices of bevel Duc's are getting silly here in the U.S., like American pony cars right now (are you watching Barrett-Jackson on Speed? Too many Boomers with too much $$$ and not enough brains). And for me, also, the retro bikes don't quite make it, apart from the motors.
Your GT is a good machine, and definitely a keeper, but I must tell you, there's no way I would part with my Paso. It runs good, sounds good and feels good (and is worth nothing right now anyway), so if you can ever snag one, I'm sure you'd be a happy camper.
I recently sold an '01 Aprilia Falco because, truth be told, I preferred to ride my Paso. It was a good machine, but I have just so much time to ride. The only problem is, the Paso can't handle two-up (power and clutch limitations), but then my wife won't ride with me much anymore, anyway. Those of us with 906/907s probably don't have the same problem.
