These big Ducati destroy the battery. I have bought 2 Yuasa in 3 years!
So, if those Odyssey really work 12 years, I also would buy one, even if the price was the double of the Yuasa

...
Great bargain!

Normally i can get about 3 years with Varta(with good taking care and right voltage in bike), but we shall, how long time my Yuasa least. Now going 2. summer and its, like a new battery, still. I have heard (from local Ducati drivers), that normally Yuasa least about 4-5 years with good care. Surely acid batteries have "good ones" and "bad ones". Propably gel batteries are all "good ones" and quality control is better(also higher price)...

How much shipping to EU and how much VAT, tolls, etc... ??? If someone sells in EU area those, then much cheaper, cause no need to pay VAT, etc... market areas, market areas... btw, Frankie, do You belive salesman talks about 12 year life, if nowbody can confirm that in own life

Do those need some maintain, cause there was some notes in same place, where they write about that lifetime

I taught they are totally maintain free batteries. Pitty, that i am very hurry to Latvia just now, so no time to read all... Ferry starts 22:00 this eve...

I don't believe at all.
But, at the price below could be a reasonable thing.

I bought one at bike week and it is the bomb!! I rode in heavy traffic all week for 6 days and never even had a sputter cranking dozens of times a day!!!! I love this oddessey battery it was about $96.00 american. It solved many of the low staying power of my system and I never even put it on the trickle charger once.

All of the above confirms that a new decent battery makes the world of difference. I've put a new one in and even with the alarm activated and clock going it lasts for ten days whereas the old one lasted no more than three days.
The battery is back on the optimate "charger" just to keep it in tip top condition for the Isle of Man TT races!

This is actually an AGM (absorbed glass mat) technology battery, not a gel cell. I use these in my Miata and Shelby because they are both trunk mounted. I just touched up my 907's frame and powder coated the center stand because the acid from the battery corroded the paint. The AGM batteries will not leak, another factor in the decision. On the down side, they don't tolerate being totally discharged. Plug in the battery tender if your clock is running and you aren't using the bike for a month!
