wow, nostalgia is RIGHT! Do you guys realise that this is the 5th revision of the site, and that this org has been in existence for 10 years?

I'll be revising the front page time allowed.
After thinking about things, we have a few core needs for the group:

1) forum
2) gallery
3) downloadable files
4) mailing list
5) links archive

anything else that folks can think of?

The matter of having lost all members who have never made a post is of considerable concern, I feel, Mike. We've lost about 1500 of them, I think. Is there no way we can get them back as members from our end?

Also, I know of at least one member (Marinus) who has been a regular and valuable poster, who seems to be unable to log on, although he is still listed as a member. I was able to write a Private Message to him, but it is still sitting in my 'Outbox', still obviously unread by him. I understand Marinus has been in touch with you, and you're looking into his problem. But is it possible that there are perhaps many others in his position, still members, but unable to log on, that we will never know about, unless they contact one of us somehow?

Antti,

most 0 post members registred only to access certain parts of the site.
Maybe there should be a split made, meaning either having to register twice depending on what you want to access or have free access to the page and require registration for the forum. At least it`s my guess that the amount of members is a summary of forum members and other who ie wanted to access the download section.
(what I personally can`t understand is why so few people at least fill out their location when registering).

Was there much use of the events page? The local dosd group posts San Diego area events, so I rarely looked at the Paso page. How about others?

I miss the specification pages of 750/906/907 for quick reference.

here's a few clarifications:

1) 0 post members are no longer needed. the only reason now to register is to post in the forums, hence the purge. We also had 'robots' that had been registering. This will help keep the membership count more accurate.

2) yes, the specifications area is missing, and I'll add that to the list of things to add back into the site. This will take time as I'll have to re-create them.

3) I have to figure out how to put a nice set of images on the lead page that represents all models 750, 906, 907, sport.

I think I'm going to move this thread into the ANNOUNCEMENTS area, leaving a shadow topic behind. I'd like to keep the suggestions coming, and if you guys are patient, we can get this stuff up and running.

thanks to the link posted above [wayback machine or whatnot] I think I can resurrect the specs and maintenance articles. Nothing finer than someone backing up your site for free! :D

Last night I discovered that the links to the old forum that I had on my Paso Project webpages ar enot dead links. I'll have to go back and find the correct website addresses and change my website, now. :x
