I think the first step will be to pull the fuel tank and empty it (into an approved DOT container), check out the insides, clean out any old leaves and such (lol). I have heard that with Dellortos a fuel pump is not needed. Is that a general consensus?
I mean, we didn't need fuel pumps on the old bevelhead bikes with 40mm carbs. Not sure why the frell they went with a single Weber in the first place. Anyway, once I get the tank off I'll post pix and I can get feedback on the angles the carbs are mounted at and all that jazz.

If you have 36mm DelOrtos on your Paso, you definitely do not need a fuel pump, and with careful carburetor balance and tuning, you will be able to get wonderfully smooth power throughout the rev range. My 750 was running smoothly at only 2500 rpm in fifth the other day, slightly downhill.

Fact, mate, I swear. She runs bloody great anyway, but that was the best I've ever seen. Slightly downhill, just a whiff of throttle ...
I put it down to carefully organised throttle cables and my 'Ducati Cuddle' technique. Last time I checked my slides (about 1000 miles ago) their movements could not be separated.
