As far as I know they are the same and plenty strong. I put a 1098 pistal piston kit with 11.8:1 compression in my Multi this winter. 95HP at the rear wheel and 82 Ft.Lbs of torque at 4000 RPM.

I emailed the guy with the 944 parts and here is his answer:
Yes... They are for sale for 95.00 for both... it is an non reserver auction so that price might rise...
In fact in have the entire engine for sale minus the cams... I bought the motor just for the cams for my 900 SS race bike...
Everything is very clean... I have all of the items for sale on ebay or you can tell me what you are looking for and I can give you a price outside of ebay
for example I would be willing to sell the pistons and cylinders with piston rings and all seals for 200.00 plus shipping
Thanks and please let me know

This is a killer good price for a set up ready to use.

Buy such! Its best Paso!
ok, i understand....
I have 2, but anyway i think, that its not so good idea to put big bore kit to 907. I count allways, what i can get for my moneys and putting plenty of money to old 907 is not so clever.... Its old modell and only we here know its real value(with our FEELINGS!!!). That real value is not so high in markets and there are plenty of such Ducati owners, who say, that Pasos dont belong to Ducatis at all.... Ok, its sad to hear such, but i have heard such some times.....

Anyway i like my Pasos alot now...

Hello Jon Paso Grand Poo-bah
thanks for the tip about Matt
I've emailed him, and presuming someone else hasn't jumped in already, hope to get the engine if suitable.
thanks Ross

Did you ever get these pistons and cylinders? Are these compatible with the 907 block and cylinder heads? I like the larger bore and 10.2:1 compression ratio of the ST2.

Am I understanding this correctly? The ST2 cylinders/heads/pistons are a bolt on to the 907? No mods required?
Thanks,
Gary

Heads require a tunnel made f rev counter if you want to use original one.
Not too complicated, I`ve had it done.

Yes, or you can overbore you current cylinders to the 944 size and get new pistons. This is a VERY common upgrade for the 900ss engine which is the same except for the water cooling.

So, if I KEEP the 907 heads and just install the cylinders and pistons, then NO machining is required? Pure bolt on? Want to make sure I get this right before I make the investment.....
Thanks,
Gary

BTW, are the ST2 cams an improvement over stock 90 pieces?
Thanks all.......
