With way this is going It will be intersting to see who has the lowest numbered / earliest registered one?

Yes. It looks to me like the UK was used as a convenient dumping ground for unsold US-spec bikes, as they didn't have to change the speedo from MPH to do so. My bike has a Fahrenheit temp gauge, which I presume means it was originaly destined for the US, although it was sold new in UK.
