i agree with a lot of that and more. that naked ducati in your earlier post looks awsome! its on my list for a test ride next spring. it looks like pure escapism on wheels. and the 'classic' looks a lovely bike too. my 906 cost £900 more than four years ago and is having a mini restoation this winter. the previous owners had looked after it well and now its my turn to give it some tlc.  :)

The records that came with this bike show the previous owner had the timing belts changed, carbs rebuilt and tuned and the valves were adjusted about 600 miles ago. It appears I should be set to enjoy many miles before additional servicing. :)

I noticed that "dent" in the photo as well but after looking at my motorcycle I saw it was an illusion. The original part appears to be bent in the photo but actually it is not. It was formed that way from the factory.
I agree, bikes should be clean.
I take pride in keeping mine looking and running like new as much as possible but I also ride them a lot.
I ride my motorcycles 30,000 miles + every year which isn't as much as when I was younger.
I live in California where we ride all year
It's a good thing we can because traffic often makes going anywhere in a car miserable. "Lane splitting" in Calif. is legal :D

By the way, my wife is 100% Finnish :)

My paso has the same ding in the radiator tube . I did mine by dropping it on its side and the inner fairing hit the tube ,mine is much worse

as you can see , but it didnt seem to cause any issues so I left it alone :)

Yes, I now see what you were refering to. I wasn't looking at the right place. I thought you were refering to the indented area on the radiator itself.
I replaced the bodywork so I can't look at the inlet tube until I pull the panel back off. It doesn't seem to have affected coolant flow enough to cause a problem but it's cool now and in hot weather it could be more critical. . Definately something I will look at again soon! If yours isn't a problem I agree mine shouldn't be either.
I had my first opportunity today to take my Paso on one of my favorite twisty roads, about 60 miles round trip. This bike handles as well as any I own. The only other motorcycle of mine that does as well is my new 2010 Triumph Thunderbird and the Paso has a lot more cornering clearance so it can be ridden much faster  I grew up riding cafe racers I built myself and my "new" Paso is a return to those pastimes.

Here's a photo my wife (then girlfriend) took of me in 1968 while riding my 1964 Honda 305 Superhawk. I "owned" Skyline Blvd. in the Oakland hills in the mid 60's. I rode this 8 mile stretch to highschool and back for 3 years. The entire distance was turn after turn, some as slow as 20 mph, a cafe racers dream

Sorry, I wish the photo quality was better... :(

Great compliment for a 20 years old bike.
Really, I sold my Honda Hornet just because I did'nt ever liked her both as rideability and for its engine.
