just a guess but someone may have opened the instrument panel and put in the dash cover the wrong way. If I remember well the rear side is white.

If you also paint the wheels and swingarm black you won`t be able to find it at night

Btw the licence plate angle on the Monster is too steep. My TUV guy would complain like he did about my Gilera :)

G.

PS: a really nice bike, but get a new key hanger - GPZ, pfff :-P

I have the GPZ key hanger on all of my bikes and cars.... and 10 more for others

Good hint with the dash, I will check it on my spare one

The Numberplate holder on the Monster is an original DP part. 100% illigal. My TÜV has no problem with it, got TÜV on Monday....

Maybe yours is painted or someone stripped the black paint for some unknown reason.

Btw, strange that 907 have black colour front Brembo's (from 91?), as it have lowered saddle and those alumium mufflers (like 92 have)? Does it have P8 ECU, or P7? :phone:

Cool!
I am going to make the same thing with the taillight.
I`ve got a new US-Cover and a new Euro-cover in the shelf.

Looks very nice, your bike.

So- i think I`ve got to visit you, when my 907 is back on the road again...

I'm sure all 907 have the P7 ECU...they started fitting P8 on the 888, even my 851 has a P7
Bock900r wrote: P8 or P7? How to see the difference?
looking at it I 'm not sure, but electronically the only difference is, the P8 has individual mapping, the rear cylinder runs hotter= less air= % less fuel...it would be a small % diff.
ps: nice stable there Rudiger
Cheers Claude.

Is that another 998 repainted? must be :)

About P7 / P8 ECU: P7 have stamped:
IAW 043/04
WU43.07/20A_28

I dont have P8 (as my both 907's are -91), so i dont know code of it. Anyway i have read from some sources that -92 907 had P8 ECU with different mapping (probably from some of Ian Fallon's books)
