Can you post a close up pic of the top case mount, near rear pegs?
Not sure which bit you mean Gert :?:
Do you mean the mounting for the top case frame?

The standard pipes do look good!

How many km`s?

Is that a battery breather hose attached to the swing arm?
I eneded up buying a deka sealed battery to get rid of any battery acid problems.
26,500 miles, I think that's around 40,000 km.
The pipe is a for a Scott oiler. A type of automatic chain oiler popular in the UK, made in Scotland too
It has a new AGM sealed battery fitted.

Gert,

Here are some pictures of the top case frame mounts.

Image

At the footrest hanger the lug on the top case mount is clamped between the hanger and the subframe at the rear bolt with a similar thickness spacer (washer) fitted at the front bolt.
Image

At the back there is a bracket that clamps around the lower subframe tube.

Yes. Original tool kit, Owners Handbook, 906 Paso Workshop Manual with 907ie supplement all came with the bike as well as an assortment of shims. :)

that looks like a GIVI luggage carrier, but if it is it seems it`s not mounted correctly (at the footpegs).

I've only just aquired the bike so I'm pleading not guilty. From the diagram it looks like the footpeg mount should be on the outside of the hanger but to be honest the way it is mounted looks a lot tidier to me.

Mine was mounted exactly the same...but removed now as I think the bike looks far better without them.

If it`s mounted like that I`d at least put a washer with the same thickness under the other footpeg bracket bolt as otherwise you`ll have stress on the material and the two bolts.
