Both are interesting (pitty Menton is a bit far otherwise would like to see it 6.500 km !!!)

1 question though: I see 2 different types of standard mufflers .... what is the story behind it?
I only knew the Silentium ones (suite the Paso best).

the cigar type is standard. There were three versions of it depending on the market. There`s a US/Swiss version, a Euro version and the race version that came with some Limiteds. The difference is the output diameter. (see the exhaust topic: http://forums.ducatipaso.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2879). Then there`s the "modern" shaped silencer from the 907ie which sometimes can be seen on some P750 & 906. It isn`t clear if late models came equipped with it from the factory or if they were swapped by the owners.

907 has 17" and fuel injection. Better search for the last ones with P8 Marelli instead of P7 and 320mm disc plates.

My 907 is a late one with 320mm discs and gold callipers but I've always assumed the ECU was a P7

Hi guys,

Well finally I've got my Paso 750
It's a 1989 model framenumber ZDM750P*752140*DGM52055OM
My intentions are so get the bike in near new condition but that will cost me a lot of labour, parts and money.
I've started to take the bike apart but I already have an issue: how do I get the front wheel bearings out?!
The rear is not a problem: I can get easily get behind the inner ring but the front is very strange (never seen something similar) it looks like the "distance piece" (page 22 part 3 of the parts catalogue) is actually inside the inner bearing ring
Can someone tell how to remove the bearings without to much violence .....

Also I have seen that the swingarm is seriously damaged by the chain partly as result of a completely worn chain slider (page 16 part 2).
I will have to find someone to weld my swing arm in order to repair it
Since the sliders are not available anymore .... has anyone a practical solution to this as I assume more people have experienced this?
I searched the topics but did not find an answer to this.

Hi Frank,

Congratulations. For the front wheel bearings you will have to find something that is smaller than the inner diameter of the bearing and larger than the spacer. A tube or something. There`s no other way.
Regarding the swingarm I`d talk to the seller, he might have another.

Does anyone has a cross-sectional drawing of the rear suspension rocker arm?
Similar question for the swingarm underside where the connecting rods are connected to the swingarm.

As a consequence of my rebuild I need to remove the old needle bearings and later on mount some new ones but although I do have the Ducati workshop manual I do not know how to safely remove those needle bearings.

The ones from the swingarm left side were easy since it is a single machined hole through and through.
But I'm not sure about those 20x26 needle bearing seats.

Hope someone did it and has a simple drawing of the cross section ......
