I'm beginning to agree with you. The 907's fuel injection and the 17" wheels make it much more attractive to me.

Its very realible in 907IE, cause they designed that P7 ECU with 851/888 to World Superbike racing bikes and they win a lot Especially that ECU is very good and only few had broken since.

I won't know for sure until I see the VIN on that bike, but I'm pretty certain that I know the first owner of that Paso, and he performed the break-in on it during a 50 mile, 130mph high speed chase while running from the NY State Police. Damn that cost me a bunch of money and a good lawyer to get out of... I mean cost HIM a lot of money... (And if it is, yes it DID go down hard on the right hand side, how do you think HE got caught?)

If that's the bike I think it is, it's currently owned by the guy who owns Terry's Transmission up on Taft Rd. I think he has a couple other older Ducs, as well.

In Italy, at Novegro fair, on feb 2006, pasos rated about 1800~2500euros in good conditions, 750 or 900 cc.

750 and 906, but the 907 a little bit more.

... and little bit better(refined)! :funny: 906 have all same problems, as 750 and much worst front brakes(than 907), if thinking that 906 weight compared to 750 Paso! 750Paso can be stopped with those bad 2 piston brakes, but wondering much heavier 906 with same awfull front brakes...

i tried both on my 906, the p08 and the p4 30/34.
the p08 isn´t bad but steel braklines are necessary.
bad is the michelin. this tyre has no grip :thumbdown:

Surely Michelin is not so good tire to Paso, cause NOT any development(not any other manufacture=no competition)for many years...

And steel braided brake lines are "must"...

But i noticed HUGE difference, when i changed to 4 piston "black Brembos"(from 91 907IE) in my 750 Paso !!! (with mormal discs) Ps, i painted those 2 pistons by green and throwed them to local river! Right place to them! :funny:

And those normal metal discs(750 & 906) are much better, than those stainless steel ones in 907IE! Stainless is allways more "slippery", than normal ones..... But that can be fixed by cutting with lazer new 300, or 320mm friction plates to 907 carriers :laugh:

... still thinking that 906 heavy weight and bad 2 piston Brembos! ... comparing to 750 lightness and 4 Piston Brembos.... :lick:

To be honest I don't recall (long time since I rode it) the Michelins being that bad. You just have to remember that they and the bike were designed a good few years ago. But they can still be used to hustle and keep newer bikes honest on the right road. Ibnvariable I would find I ran out of ground clearance before I ran out of grip (I don't hang off much so not much knee scraping)

As far as the brakes go - I always found the twin pistons on the 750 more than a match for the front tire or the centre of gravity of the bike (back wheel lifts easily) so I see no reason why they should be so bad for a 906. The cast iron rotors are a real advantage and with the right pads (I found Ferodo were best) were very good
A friend even rated them higher than his 748 (until we serviced his calipers ! :laugh: )

Think more that weight between 750 Paso and 906!

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but Antti, tell me more about the 907 calipers on the 750 Paso? Is it a straight bolt-up deal? Or did you have to make adapters? More is always better, especially power and brakes!

On the value topic, I bought mine for $1075, and I overpaid! But mine had a huge hole in the motor, which I was able to fix cheaply.

I'm surprised how well these bikes hold their value, I bought my first one for $5,000 brand new at Ghost Motorcycles in Port Washington, NY. They seem to be worth about half that or a little more now. My 900ss, on the other hand, was $8500 new in '92, and it's probably worth a little over a third of that now.

theres a 1992 907ie in the cycle trader with 18,859 miles says recent tune up/belt service and cobra pipes and GIVI hard cases

5500.00$ thats at the top of their value i believe so it should be near perfect for that amount

Is that the same SS you are standing (on crutches) next to in "Forum Faces" thread. If so I am not suprised it is not worth much :laugh:
