Hey Tamburinifan

Do you know how many cc's the Saab engine is?
I was just reflecting on why I thought a 3 cylinder 2 stroke was crazy since Yamaha, among others produced just such a motor...

But still it looks like it would drop right into an odyessy type off roader -

On another note - funny how errant this thread has become . . .
more than likely we are just spent on the subject of the 17" wheel conversion discussion with so much dialog already here in the forum.

They came with a lever which put the trans in unlocked mode allowing the vehicle to coast.Provided for some shall we say very exciting downhills

I have had the opportunity to drive a lot of different cars throughout the years in my endeavours towards technologist, The 1968 Saab 96 Monte Carlo is one of my favorites, Bought three of them for 350USD from a racer type needed the money back in the late 70's..... many a fond memories  Wish I'd kept that one  lots of character and a definite sleeper. Surprised many a sports car fanatic back in its day :fart: Fiats, Porsches, Lancias, Alfas, 240Z's even a TR6 and a TR8 all got to smell the popcorn burning  Hmmmm, maybe next years project, there are still a few of them around :smoke:
