talking about tires......
i talk some weeks ago with a man dealing with old staff...cars and bikes too.
he told me that some old cars cant be fixed anymore 'cause no tires avaiable...
so u can write to the "factory" and they give you other"modern tyres" to fix the car again!
i did it writing to ducati industry an email, using the my town ducati dealer!
i asked them if i can use some different tires for my paso!!!!
i'm waiting an answer...
but unluckyly i live in italy.

ps:sorry for my english!

Andrea,
as you can read here, Ducati Germany replies to Paso owners, Ducati Italy does'nt...
However, let us know about.
Ciao

Actually, it's much much better than that. Dunlop now produce a huge range of classic tyres for classic cars, using the original molds and even the original compounds. This is because it's no good to use the original molds with new compounds.

The new compounds are so much more grippy than the old compounds that the "new-old" tyres fitted to the classic cars was wrecking their suspension - because they transfer far higher loads through it!

So, Dunlop went to work, creating all the old compounds (slippery like nobody's business) for the old cars - so now you really CAN fit new-old-old (!) tyres to something like a Porsche 356A and drive it in the "mega-drifty" style they used to drive back in the day.

Dangerous I suppose, but hey - original! :smoke:
