I'll have to start riding my Paso some more, burn off that new Dunlop Qualifier front and the D205 rear tires, before I have to worry about buying any of these.

According to the Goldentyre.it web site, there is a Goldentyre distributor in British Columbia, Canada, so there may be hope for those of us in the USA and Canada to purchase these tires without having to pay shipping from Italy.

I had all but given up ever getting to ride my Paso again. I have had it for a year, worked on it got it running well but only ridden it once because the tires were so cracked I didn't feel safe...

with everything else finished I was either staring down the barrel of a 17" Conversion or wrecking it out...

My wife has family in Italy ;)

This is awesome! We can now re-tire the bikes rather than retire them.

I contacted Goldentyre to let them know how pleased I was that they were producing these tyres. They suggested that I went on the Goldentyre racing website and made a reservation. Unfortunately as most of it is in Italian and I couldn't find the tyres I have not been able to do that. Has anyone made a reservation for the tyres and if so where is it on their website ?

Have contacted Goldentyres and they told me that the goldentyreracing website is only for Italian customers. When the new tyres are available and in the catalogue I then just need to contact one of the approved dealers in the UK. Sorted - hopefully !!

I wonder if I should change both or only the rear tyre. The case for the rear tyre is obvious, better fit and shape so it will improve ride and handling for sure but i am not so sure about changing the front tyre. My tyres are practically new (Front metzeler sportec m3 130/70 and back Avon 150/80 azaro).
I am inclined to change both but if I can save some money....

Any thoughts?

Sure wouldnt want to see you part it out ( can I have the taillight  ), others have fitted other tires and done the 17" conv ( I have a suitable rear wheel available ) Personally , unless your into lots of muckin around , I would go for the " other tire" soloution .
I aint going to holdin my breath waiting for these "new" tires to hit our shores

@Witzie

I use the avon azaros with 1000 km on it. I will switch to the original size whenever they are availiable, even though the Azaro combi is quite good.

I would not go for a mixture if you can get a matching pair. You may safe 100 euro if you still use a 70% tire till the end, but proper tires are one of the most important parts on a bike. just my opinion :D

all the best, hardo

Hello all,
In one of the previous posts I read Delticom is a distributor of Golden Tyre and would take on distribution for these new tyres in Germany and the rest of Europe.

So I did send an email to Delticom asking if and when the tyres can be ordered in Belgium.
This is the disappointing reply I got back: (in Dutch, saying these tyres cannot be delivered)

Geachte heer,

Helaas zijn de motorbanden in de maten 130/60-ZR16 - 160/60-ZR16 niet leverbaar.Excuses voor het ongemak.

Met vriendelijke groet,
