Ouch, that hurts! Yep, that's the one! But I'm not referring to that bike in particular, but more to 900ss's in general. That bike's actually got a serious motor in it; port and polish by Azione Moto, 944 kit with high-comp pistons, Malossi's etc. Here it is now:

See, it's not so bad! (except for that upside down exhaust can!)

But seriously, the 900 is 4 yrs newer and yet still worth less, percentage-wise, than a Paso. I really find that interesting...

That definately looks a lot better. I guess the diference in holding their value comes down to the low numbers of the Paso/ie bikes especially in comparison to the plentiful SS. The SS is certianly a very sweet looking & handling bike though, I would very much like to park one next to my 906. Here in Oz they are going for around $10k in good nick with reasonable travel on them. the Paso would probably be $1-3K less in the same condition, but the paso prices are rising as they approach "Classic" status & are being truelly appreciated for the beautiful bike they are. I think both bikes will increase as people realise just how ugly the average modern bike is with all their weird angles & more headlights than a runway approach, smooth & flowing is just right!

I couldnt agree more REDPASO! i love my 907 and it does seem as if the 900ss's are a little cheaper as they come onto the market and i too would love to have a red 900ss to park beside my 907.

however due to the cost of maintenance/parts and the no ducati dealers in my area my next bike will probably be something more run of the mill,i will not be selling the 907 though,no sir

I agree with everything except the "sweet handling" of the 900ss. That thing's a truck! And a '70's Ford with blown out shocks, at that! Although I heard the newer ones (post '98 I think) were much better.

 the newer ones handle quite nicely but are very heavy on the wrists if you are over about 5'10 . i rode one for about 20 mins and my wrists where killing me and i am 6'3 but have never riding the one that was made before 2003
