Ok, I've repaired the link...
About installing a power commander on a 907, the only thing to be sure, is the trottle potentiometer jack, whether it's the same of earlier 900 i.e (monster and ss), there're no other matter as the signal to injector is standard

improvement comes from 50 mm, the total lenght of the labyrinth let the gas flow correctly at almost any rmp
see the original posting there:
That is a new theory for me, could you develop that a bit more?
Are you mixing header length theory into the mufflers?

Francesco, can you help me? :D
Not so mutch to develope:
The surface of a 50mm can is about 1962 sqr mm, so I tried to have a similar value also for other cans.
This to build something that works like a 50 mm pipe with 1.5mt lenght.
The end I took a 75 mm can and a 92 mm can to build my muffler
Here's an idea abotu what I mean:

Unfortunately, I can't help you.
No matter, I guess there is some theory about it, so I hope Gert can tell us something more.

The muffler only controls back pressure & sound level.
Length of headers is another story.
Long way for gas inside muffler usually used for keeping volume down. Often used in car mufflers.

So, what are you trying to achieve with 1,5m 50mm pipe?
I just want to understand.

A shorter 50mm pipe had a great deal of troubles...
2500 rpm for idle, cutoff of power at 7500 rpm and so on.
I don't know why it happened, but I tried a smaller pipe (28mm)
that ran good but with very low power; a 40mm for a 1.2mt nominal lenght and ran better then I made this and just try...
Moreover, I must say I'm not sure about engine conditions: It's a very performing unit and it "might" have some "non stock" part, but I can't be sure about... I never opened the engine!

Have a look at this url for info on building your own injection system
http://www.bgsoflex.com/megasquirt.html
Lots of things you can do, but also a lot of work especially if you are not into electronics.
Also designed with primarily symmetric cylinder timing I think, so you might have to get into a bit of software modification.

Like Finnpaso said, I'd stick with the standard 907 unit, maybe with a mod chip. But build your own if you have a carbed machine...like a 906.
No I haven't built an injection unit for the 906, but might get to it in my spare retirement time when petrol is no longer available.

Update - someone has done injection for a 906 under the Megasquirt system. Have a look at

Gert,

Go for the Megasquirt. :P

Since you have i EFI engine, you only have to assemble the new box. It's quite easy if you have some skill in soldering.
Then there is the swedish megasuirt forum for help: http://megasquirt.se/.

My Paso 750 is running quite well now, with Megasquirt.
I have some more mapping to take care of, before it is nice ok.
Now with Megasquirt EFI!!

Hello Gert,

You need to get a MS1 or MS2 kit. The kit includes all necessary components.
Ready to connect are the Microsquirt, small but more expensive.

Check the http://www.megamanual.com pages for the difference.

I have the MS1 V3 kit. I changed the original code to the extra code to get better mapping capabilities, 12x12 instead of 8x8, and spark control.
I hope I can get the crank/ignition on this winter  .

It is possible to have at least 2 fuel mappings and 2 ignition maps, and change during driving.

The kits are available from http://www.diyautotune.com, http://www.glensgarage.com and ready built msExtra kit from http://www.ExtraEFI.co.uk.

I got mine from Glens. Small labled bags, so you don't need to look extra for each component.

Since you already have a EFI engine thats it.
Injectors, temp(eninge and air), TPS(ThrottlePositionSensor) and crankpos are already there. Just connect it.
Fuel pump and Fuel Pressure Regulator also there.

Some assembly mods for the cranking, but it is covered at the megamanaul pages.
Now with Megasquirt EFI!!

I have the MS1 V3 kit.
And the same kit would work for me?
And that`s all I need?
Could you post a screenshot to se what the software looks like?

I have a P8 casing + the 36pin output connector so I guess I could mount it in there. The price on the MS is good also.

Jepp,

It will work.

On the megamanual webpages you can find information about the tuning software, megatune.
http://www.megasquirt.info/megatune.htm
The mainpage is http://www.megasquirt.info/, click on the megamanual link to the left.

Here you can find a swedish tuning info page. A Buell converted to MS, http://www.sorman-racing.com/vedbod_fil ... _rev_1.pdf
Another swedish site http://hem.passagen.se/spretten2003/exjobb.htm.
One more, more fresh, http://www.freewebs.com/gotlandsburn/Ma ... 202.25.pdf
The links above are in swedish.

Here is the page for msns-extra
http://megasquirt.sourceforge.net/extra/index.html
The firmware I run in my msI V3 box.

For analyzing how a run was performed, you can log with the above megatune, or in a bike case, a palm software.
The logfile is viewed and analyzed in MegaLogViewer, http://www.ideasandsolutions.biz/MSGraph/.

The connection to the box is db37 and normal serial db9 to the pc.
If you want to use the p8 connection you must make an adapter, or else go straight to the sensors, which is easierthan fabricate an adapter.

Thx f the links, especially the Buell step-by-step.

Do your MS only control fuel, not ignition ?
But the possibility is their with what you have now or?
