After 2500 kms my Paso runs very well, without chain, sprocket or tire problems. I think 180-60/16 with 130-70/16 is a very good combination.

I could not upload the Pic's ( fixed it for you. There is a link for each pic over to the right side and you need to copy that to make a direct link.)
Here the link to the 180/60/16 Avon Cobra AV72 solution:

I agree with Pompone.
It seems that the Shrinko 180/60/16 is smaller than the Avon, because without moving the front sprocket it's not working with the Avon. But as I mentioned no big deal.

Yes they are Giacomoto.
The airbox is as well modified (K&N). And last but not least there is a kit, i belive from Leoni cylinder with 90 bore (original 88) and special pistons on it. Sounds like a thunderstorm........

The Giocamoto exhausts are very nice and very effective.
Besides, with such tuning work, she has to be very, very fast

pasoalf wrote:Hi,
As announced before I did the conversion to the 180/60/60. As the Avon Cobra AV72 is a huge rubber (seems to be larger than Pompones Shrinko 180/60/60, because I also had to move the Sprocket to the left) I had to go hard to the limits. I'll post the drawings for the parts needed (2 parts for the sprocket 1 distance part for the crown) soon here. No big deal to do.
After a short drive I can say that Im very satisfied with the result. The avon Cobra AV72 seems to have good grip, and the handling in combination with the SPORTEC M3 FRONT (130/70/16) is good and neutral.
For me the tire problem is definitely solved, without 17" conversion which is costly and complicated

Hi Pasoalf, very good news - just a question - do you need an inner tube to make sure the tyre fits, or is this ok tubeless?

Thanks.

Anton.

tubeless of course. The Avon is recommended for a 5.00 rim

Hi Pompone.
The Shinko tire you are using, is it called "Shinko R-747 180/60 R16 TL 74H" ?

I have just had a puncture on my Michelin rear. It happened on the motorway with 130 k/h. A bit frightening.
Kind regards
Klaus

Yes, it is. I bought it because it was the cheapest tire in this size I could find. I didn't know Shinko Company and I was a little suspicious but now I'm very happy with it.

So what was your final solution for spacing the sprockets? Did you ever try it with no spacers at all? I'm going to be due real soon for a rear tire so I need to figure this all out.... Also anyone have experience with the Shinko 006 Podium front tires? I hate to mix and match tire brands.... so I may just sell my spare new Michelin front and get one of those.

I put 8 mm spacers between the crown and the carrier. And I ride my bike with the Shinko combinated with a Dunlop 208 RR 130-70/16 without problems of diferent brands.

Pompone and Pasoalf,

2 q's

1. Did you have to mod the fenders for the tires?

2. For the spacers any suggestions?

Thanks, looks great!!!
