WANTED 907 EXHAUST

still looking for a set of slipons for a 907ie.......can be any brand, just looking for a set because previous owner of my 907 cored the factory ones and they are a bit on the loud side.
only new options open to me seem to be 2 brothers racing and i cant locate a dealer/distributer and the 2 bro's website is rather costly at 759.00 for a pair in carbon/x-metal/titanium(buyers choice)only cheaper alternative is the C2 size cans in aluminum but those are still 479.00
hard to swallow that price when i only paid 2000.00 for "project 907" and i got maybe 5/6 hundred more in her reZZurection.........

my brother in law has cored cans on his 900ss they are VERY loud.
you know that the cobra F1s can be had pretty cheap.
check ebay too. personally i have a set of staintunes, and they're loud but not nearly as bad as cored oem cans are.

a guy from the ducatilist recommended the cobra f1's but i could find no source for them for a 907 and i have been watching e-bay for a while but have only found these so far and i think they are for a 900ss:

tell me what does everyone think these fit(they mount up different than my 907)
someone on the yahoopaso board said the the 2 bros pipes are nice sounding, loud but nice
i tried staintune as well, but they no longer make the 907 version
there is a listing for a silmotor racing set but i cant get anybody to tell me that they can get them either
i found a reference to another brand DPM but no american dealers
http://www.dpmsilenziatori.it/ they actually list for a 750paso,but i think the cans would work?
i hope to eventually come up with something to replace the cored pipes,as i think they are too harsh sounding on decelleration

Interesting is that the Staintunes I have on my bike were from a 907, and they were more or less a bolt-on. I changed the location of the mount hole on the bracket by about .5" to get the fit that I desired. I would bet that you could put the "750" cobras on your 907 with no problems.

where might i find a listing/dealer for the F1 cobras that fit a 750 paso?
i checked this link out and no ducati fitment at all
http://www.cobrausa.com/
this too has no ducati fitment listed
http://www.speedpro.de/auspuffset.htm
anybody out there a dealer/importer willing to hook up,i would like to get the DPM carbon pipes, they look real good, and i would prefer the round(tondo, haha) to the oval of the 2 bros racing ones...
oh well, such is the hurdles one must jump/trip over when trying to run a 12 year old italian sportobike

het Steele check this pic,and tell me ,do these look like 900ss pipes? i have talked to the seller and they are supposedly from a 907 but the mounting tabs are different than my 907 cans have.
if they are maybe i will buy these and see if they fit:

those really look like 900ss cans to me. the stock 907 muffler has a different appearance too. Notice the painted ends?
I believe these are stock:
here they are on Ian's bike too:
unless the painted endcaps are a black 907 thing only?

yea i thought they most likely resembled 900ss cans too,as the mounting brackets are also totally different......

uh,i wouldnt know

.....as the P.O. of my 907 painted the entire exhaust piping gray and put a nice new stainless steel cover over the cans(he works on c-130's at the local air guard facility)
yes,the stock 907 is painted steel,with an aluminum cover(oem)
anybody know a way to just recore my stock cans?
i hope to eventually come across a spare piping assembly for a 907(from cylinders to just before the cans)and i will probably send it out for jet hot coating or maybe even "gasp" chrome  and then use it with the titanium cans i will probably get from 2 brothers racing(i really want carbon, but they wont even be noticed on a black bike,so titanium it is)
unless i get lucky and find a set of used cans(staintune/ferracci/etc) on good ol e-bay
it seems as if all the really good stuff for 907's has already been passed on to those in the know/or need as they are now 12+ years old
the guy with the 900ss cans only wants 40 bucks for them,so i might get them and experiment a little and see if they sound better than my cored mufflers do

let me make you ill...
i found my staintunes off a 907 on the micapeak classifieds. drove to the guys house and he sold me the pair for $175 stating they were 'too loud' (they ARE loud heh) with only 1 smallish dent on one of the cans.
now get out there and find a pair!

now get out there and find a pair
man,i been trying ever since i brought this thing home, cause the P.O.'s bro-in-law(friend of mine who turned me on to the 907 sitting idle in the garage)warned me that his goofy bro-in-law had made the thing
EXTREMELY loud and that i might get some law enforcement notice because of it..
like i said,if i dont find any by the end of summer, over the winter i will break down and get the 2 brothers racing cans,or something else i might find between now and then(converting euros to american dollars does me NO favors) when looking on the DPM or SILMOTOR sights,as they would come over on the slowboat at almost a grand!!!!!!!

THATS RIGHT!!!!,I would be happier with the stock pipes, but now i have to locate some,or get aftermarket cause the cored pipes are very loud when you shut the throttle in a low gear
