Spark plug cable

I'm thinking about to change the sparkplug cable to new ones.
The old ones are pretty stiff now and probably not changed.
I've done the electric upgrade for the coils and it works great.
Does anyone know if there are something special to consider or can I select whatever there is available?

Hi Anders,
Buy 3.0 Ohm Dyna Coils, have a bracket made and order Magnecor sparkplug leads...

Check out the coil and lead combinations available from Silent Hektik. They have about 2 or 3 sets of varying price and claim to offer increased performance.
Helps if you speak/read German as there is no English web site. I managed to make my way thru the site by copying text blocks into an on line translator.
They also have no email contact - fax/phone/letter only. A bit low tech but but the products are reportedly good quality.

Anders,
the original cables cannot be seperated from the coils so if you want to use other plug cables you`ll also have to go for different coils (others than already mentioned are from ANDREWS)
Plug cables are also supplied by Nology

The ones from SilentHektik are great, I own them myself. Their coils though are 2.7 ohms and only recommended with their own programmable ignition units. I had a discussion with them longer time ago and they recommend not to use them with the original CDI units as these could be damaged. Didn`t happen to me, but this should be said anyway.

### I've been running Harley Screaming Eagle wires on my Paso for some time now with no problems at all.

### Yep. Nearly 500 miles so far and she's running better than she did before. (the old plug wires were a piece of crap tho, so not a fair comparison.)

the wires just need to be cut to length and the new ends crimped on.

the question is rather about the connection to the coil as plug cable and coil seem to be one piece. I cannot see how they can be devided.

I separated the original leads from the original coils by.......brute strength. A lot of wiggling and unscrewing and pulling and they came out. I fitted yellow NGK leads and plug caps to the original coils and the bike has felt a lot 'crisper' since.
