Brembo Goldline

Post by krakan »

Hi all, has anyone had any experience of fitting goldline
calipers on a -91 907, any difference in the thickness of
the discs or so? I tried a pair and the bolts fit to the fork
but they had worn out pads and the clearance to the discs
seemed close and I know that my - 91 has 300mm discs
and - 92 on has 320mm, any difference in the front mastercylinder?
Or is it a simple bolt on? Krakan 907ie-91 RED

Hi Krakan,
I've just bought a couple of Brembo 40mm. front calipers (goldline even if they are silver, made for the Guzzi).
My 907 is MY '92, but has 300 mm. front rotors.
I've bought it because Angelo, an Italian friend of the forum, told me that its fitting didn't require any modification.
Infact, I wanted to mount the 320 mm. rotors, but he advised to me that it can get some vibration.
You have only to change the front master cylinder that it needs to be changed to PS 16 (16 mm.).
I don't know why your pads are worn.
Perhaps you have fit the HH pads (more soft)? Your calipers and pads are new?
Let me know about it.
Ciao

I have installed brembo calipers on my 750 dukess and I had not such a problem... only one kind of pads for all calipers!
maybe pistons inside the caliper aren't fully "retired" (they sould have no gap over the caliper) or thers's a misalignement between disc and caliper?
have a nice ride, Nicola
