European Dash for 907
European Dash for 907
Hello everyone! I have the opportunity to grab a practically new (928) miles showing on odometer) of a european dash for the 907. My new 907ie came with the european tailight which the previous owner changed to US version all red( ). Now it sports the US dash with MPH instead of the KPH. Is there a way that I can certainly verify or confirm that my bike is a European version? Maybe with the VIN#? Is there a specific code that will designate a bike built like in Germany? As usual, I will appreciate your feedback and suggestions regarding this matter!
Thanks,
Jose
Thanks,
Jose

Hi Jose,
I've seen you have bought the dash on eBay.
Here below it's a link concerning all Paso built.
http://forums.ducatipaso.org/viewtopic. ... all+models
I think that if it was a way to know how much Pasos have been built for the US, California etc., perhaps it's possible to know their VIN numbers.
You could to know it also by the eprom in the ECU: if on the eprom is written "023U", your 907 had built for the US.
U=USA and those eproms got a leaner carburation than the EU models because the US pollution laws.
Let us know what you have found.
Ciao

European version????
Hola Francesco, Grazie por tu ayuda e información! I would love to track down where my bike was built! I will move on and will inspect the EPROM. If by any chance you find out if a letter or number on the VIN# decodes a bike as to where it was built, please let me know!

Hola Jose,
entonces tu eres hispanico?
Yo soy estado muy feliz por ayudarte.
But, I think it will be very hard to find out your curiosity.
Finally, you have to think that all Ducks has been produced in Italy and the differences between the EU and US version are very little, only the rear tailight and the eprom, I guess.
So I wouldn't worry too much about it

Hola...
Si soy hispano! I thank you for your help! I guess I can install the european dash gauges panel with no problem. As soon as the webmasters give me access to post my pictures I will post pictures of my two bikes. I have asked Jon and Mike to help me post pictures... but still waiting since a month or two now!
Anyway thanks!

Fitting your new dash will be very simple
It's a pity only that it has not the clear cover. I hope you have a good one because it's no longer available in the Ducati dealers.
Don't forget a little bit of grease on the wires of odometer etc.
Without it the gauges couldn't work well (no return to zero etc.).
Ahhh,
perhaps another little difference between the EU and USA version may be the switch on the left handle bar: the US can't turn off the lights.
In fact, I've bought on eBay a new switch, but, when it has arrived, was the US version....

Dash...
Hi Francesco, yes I have a perfect clear original dash cover! That's is the only reason why I bought it! There is one thing I don't understand. What do you mean by the US not being able to turn off the lights? Can you please tell me the difference between the US version and the european version? more detailed please?
Thanks and will keep you up to date Francesco.
Take care my friend!

Jose's Paso pictures...
Hello, just posted a couple of my 750 Paso on the Gallery and two of my 907 on the 907 gallery. I will update the 907IE Gallery soon with the actual pics after a couple of changes and upgrades I've done to the 907. I hope you like them!
