Hi -

Just got my 1991 907 IE back from the shop. The whole thing is restored but they only thing they could not find was the mirror/turn singal units for both sides, which mine are cracked and taped up.

They said the electrical is all fine if I can at worst only find the case.

Any help is appreciated!!!

Are the turn signal lenses cracked or just the plastic and/or mirrors?

You may want to consider taking your signals to a good auto body shop and having them repaired and painted. These units are no longer available and they sell for $250.00 on Ebay used and they don't show up very often.

Thanks guys! I have to take a closer look at them. I am out of town right now. I think the mirrors are fine and its just the plastic that is cracked - maybe the lenses too - I have to look - the bulbs are fine.

I have been looking on ebay for months and done net searches and have found all kinds of bodywork, but not these, which you'd think would be the most common thing to break.

Thank you!!! I found out what I need. The casings on both sides. And one lens. Everything else in fine.

I will try and win that auction for the two lenses on ebay.

Please anyone let me know if you hear about the casings.

I suggested having them re-done at a body shop to my Ducait Shop and they said it would be really expensive and I am better off waiting and trying to find them.

True, a body shop will be really expensive, but if they're just cracked you can take them apart and use a body repair kit with fiberglass to bond from the inside, then some filler around the cracked area. some time spent with sandpaper will save you a lot of $$$. Start with 150w/dry then go down to 400. You could just have the bodyshop spray the match color. Good luck.

Don't go at the Ducati shop.
You can try to fix it themselves unless for the respray.
