Is the 907 ie ignition compatable with my 750? it seems that it would be. also, someone got ahold of my email address and I get around 1500 junk emails a day, so I may have trouble finding yours. you can try. address:
billm@ohiovintagecycle.com
if not, I will take your word that it is in the condition you say it is. also how much do you want for it? thanks for all your help!

Where'd ya get the seat lock?!!!! I've been looking for one for two months, now, and everyone has the lock, but no one has the key for it. Anyone whose posted a Paso part on eBay has gotten a PM from me to see if they have one.....on the other hand, though, they are still available through Ducati for $39. Once I get this Paso running, I'll just break down and buy a new one, I guess.

My buddy found it on ebay UK I think, and ordered it for me. cost about 15 euros plus shipping. also even if you get the lock with no key you can get a key by the lock#, which should be on the lock cyclinder some where. thats how I got my ignition key for my suzuki gs 750.
I also got a pretty good deal on that paso ignition, $46 plus 6 bucks shipping. thanks for keeping an eye out, if there any specific parts you need let me know and I will keep an eye out for them.
thanks!

I may have to check on this with a local locksmith. I am talkign to two guys with seat lock/latches, now, but one is wanting to sell me the cowling and grab bar with it. I can get a brand new one for $40 through Ducati, still, but was hoping to pick up a used one for about $20. I was thinking of just making a spring loaded retainer pin and lose the locking capabilities on it. I'll look into a locksmith, though. Hopefully, they can get a blank for it.

I got the key for my suzuki at a dealership. now I dont know if the keys for the old ducatis are still availaible. also the keys arent blank. there is no cutting involved. the cylinder should have a # on it, they make a certain amount of keys that fit cylinders with that #, so technically your key can work with some other locks. check with your local ducati dealer/service shop. they may still carry the key. remember you have to have the number on the lock or you cant get a key!
hope this helps!

correction: you can get a key made without the number, but then you will need a blank key. a locksmith should be able to do it (if you can get a blank) for around $20. but its still cheaper if you can do it with a lock number.

I just picked up two blank keys for about $8.00 on e-bay. Their web site is
http://www.keys4classics.com. They say they can cut the keys with the code or sometimes from a photo. I am going to bring mine to the dealer to be cut because I didn't know that ahead of time.
