Paso exhaust noise level

Hi all,
I was wondering if the stock exhaust pipes are the quietest ones for the bike? I have a 750 with aftermarket pipes and although I am sure they help with the power I am not looking so much for power and show as much on this bike.

Those original pipes are most quied pipes. BUT, there is at least 3 different Paso original pipes!!!! Tell us, have You tuned Your Paso to more rich (i mean fuel/air ratio) with Your open pipes???? U CANT get MORE power without tuning more rich that fuel/air ratio and if U havent done that, then Your exhaust valves can burn...

I am wondering little this topic... If i understand right, U want less noise and surely that way also less power?

Little strange, cause near everybody want MORE power and more noise!!!

Actually I just got the bike a couple of weeks ago and I need to find someone around me in the Orange county area of Southern California to give the bike a tune up. I am not familiar enough with the bike to try my hand at the twin carbs.
As for the desire for power and speed. I love it but I am fully aware that it will have more than enough with a quieter ride. On long rides I don't need to have my ears ringing when I cut the engine.

Near all Ducati drivers, who i know, use earplugs !!!

Maybe You use normal, not OPEN pipes, like i use??? Remember, those Contis and Termignonis are very loud..... and illegal, but its nice, that polices have something better to do, than check mc pipes.... :laugh:
Btw, if i take a trip with Ducati, it least normally many hours and i use also best RPM area, about 5000 - 8500 near all time, so that makes also MORE that marvelous sound AND i want to keep still my ears in such condition, that i can hear also AFTER 5-8H driving... I never want drive anymore without earplugs, when i have learned to use them....

Also those lower ALOT that wind sound from helmet.... Btw, i can STILL hear that Ducati sound WITH earplugs...

Just after purchasing new in 1988, I fitted the pipes & mufflers from the Limited model. After installing a K&N low restriction filter and re-jetting, it ran (and still runs) great, sounded much better, yet is not too loud--quite mellow actually, as I didn't adopt the larger valves of the Limited model.
The diameter of pipes and outlets is significantly larger, but keep in mind the mufflers are plainly marked for track use only. The thing I like about them, if you can find a set, is they look stock (except of course for the outlet diameter).
