I want to give to all of you best wishes of a merry christmas and a happy new year!
My duke give me a present the two ignition box burned
i don't know why this happen i know i have more and more problem after the wiring upgrade with the two relays.....
someone of you may know causes of this catastrofic event...

Are You electrician?????? Maybe we have very soon "vote", how many of Paso owners are electricians? (cause THAT help alot, when playing with All Ducati modells....) :funny: :funny: :funny:

Btw, U have surely done some wiring wrongly, if U burn Your ignition boxes! I have addeed 4 extra relays to my 750 Paso:

1. for low beam
2. for high beam
3. for coils
4. for main current feed

AND after those "She" function MUCH better, that earlier! :laugh:

Electirical jobs are such, that if DONT know, what to do, then much better to leave such job to such guy, who REALLY knows, how to connect relays, switches, fuses, better connectors, etc....

U have one way to go on: Take all Your connections away and start little by little, BUT with help, of some electrician....

Maybe this sounds "too cruel", but life is sometimes...

You might have a voltage regulator broken...
after controlling the wiring and the upgrade (remember that the only 12v wire is the orange one!),check the voltage, this should work in the range 12,5/14 volts. A faulting one can run over 18 volts.

Those regulator problems are ONLY about 10% of all Ducati electrical problems, so You have some strange connections now, so better take all Your connections out/off, before U burn something more....

Last summer I broke down on the road due to voltage regulator failure, or so I thought. It turned out to be a bad ground connection, so the battery ran down and left me stranded.

My advice is to check all connections to be sure they're proper, secure and weatherproof.

I don't know what shipping would be like to you, but this guy has two used CDIs that didn't sell on eBay the other week. He ended the auction early because he claims there was an error in the listings, but he may have actually sold them elsewhere. Either way, it wouldn't hurt to contact him and see if they are still available. He has good feedback, and I actually picked up a fuel lever sending unit and a rear shock from him.

hi guys i buy two other two ignition boxes....so expensive but when they arrive to me,i am afraid to burn these another time... there is a way to check the regulator without starting the bike?
i remember a strange noise like a tick ,when i try to start,coming from the regulator.....
and do you know if elefant 350 have the same regulator of ours babies?
