Mikuni, 4. hose connection. Need help please!

Hi
Just mounted the mikunis and they apparently work very fine, and there are no leakages. But there is one hose which I am a bit uncertain of. The way I have connected the mikunis are. From the fuel pump to the “Y” connection. One hose goes, as before back to the fuel tank as the return line, and the other goes to the bottom of the mikunis. On top of the mikunis there are to breathers. These I will connect to a small container. Now there is also a 4. hose just above the inlet of the Mikunis. What do I do with this,? And what is it for?
Regards
Klaus

Hey Klaus,

seen from the front the upper connection is FUEL-IN. The one below (to which it seems you connected the fuel line) is an overflow connection).

Check the Mikuni scans in the download section page 8.
Here from an old write-up:

On the carb`s front there are 2 (movable) "T" pieces (connecting both single carbs). The upper one is the fuel inlet coming from the fuel-pump. In this fuel-line (before the carb) there must be a "Y" piece leading excessive fuel back to the tank (rear connection pipe of the tank, the one before it is the tank breather). The lower "T" is an output which leads to a little fuelresistant cannister attached to the frame (left side).
(I used a little metal can [from kitchen spices]. Drilled a hole on top for the tube to enter and 2 little holes on the bottom so fuel could exit)

Found it.
