I heard there is only 28 true limited edition Pasos were made like the one Jay Leno has. I purschased mine new from Pro Italia in Califronia as a limited edition. Can anybody tell me how to tell if mine is among that 28 ?

If you purchased it new with Limited stickers on it and the larger cored mufflers, 40 mm exhaust pipes, I'd say it is original. Things not outwardly visible are different jetting and possibly a 36º advance flywheel, larger diameter intake pipes. I'm not sure on the flywheel. I have a letter from Cagiva N. A., that was about offering an upgrade kit. From what I was told, this was to bring it up to LTD performance standards and they were using leftover LTD parts. I'm not sure how accurate that is. Here's how the letter reads.

Cagiva North America has in stock a limited number of performance kits for the 750 Paso. This kit provides a noticeable increase in the bike's performance, and is recommended for racing use only.

The components of the kit are as follows:

(1) 40mm horizontal exhaust pipe
(1) 40mm verticle exhaust pipe
(1) right muffler
(1) left muffler
(1) ignition flywheel w/36º advance flywheel
(2) #175 air correction jets
(2) #155 main jets
(1) flywheel side cover gasket

The part number for this kit is 69920051A. Dealer Cost is $450.00. Availability is limited.

This kit is suitable for all 750 Pasos. However, if it is to be fitted to a motorcycle built before July15, 1987, the carburetor must be upgraded with the following components:

(2) F36 Chokes (037027035)
(2) #57 Idle jets (037027085)
(1) #10 pump delivery valve (037027055)

Float level is to be set at 44 mm with gasket installed.

So that's the letter that was given me by a parts mgr at local dealer, BITD. I'm searching for other documents I might have that explain the differences, but I may not find them.

Does anybody know, how many degrees is original flywheel??? AND what are differences just in flywheel? Weights? My red original Paso 750 is fitted with all those stuff, but dont know about flywheel, so thats why asking more details... Anyway, thanks for info, "streetsurfer" Remembering same list of stuff can be found from Ian Falloons book, "Reastauration and mods in 2 valve Ducatis" ....

Thaks for the info. Mine does match the description of the Limited. It came with two setts of pipes, I kept the louder ones. I did not check the flywheel thow. I have about 18,000 miles on it and restored it last year. Good thing I kept the original stickers and did an awsome paint job in the original color. I am keeping it for my 9 year old son.
