Strange thing.

Iwas tinkering with my 907 when I noticed the cables coming out
of the alternator and saw two yellow wires and a red wich had been cut by some earlier owner and now I`m thinking what the
red wire was for? I mean shouldn`t all wires be connected.
When I measure the charging I get 14.5 volts so it seems ok, and
my battery stays charged even if I only take short trips.
