Marzocchi M1R front forks . . .

I started SLOWLY parting out my ’87 Paso 750 just before winter last year.

Anyway, I now want to sell the front end as one complete unit; complete forks, upper linking plate, steering crown, etc. My question is in removing this from the frame.
I have the steering head removed. I know that you should not re-use the steering bearings once removed from the column. If I unscrew the adjustment ring nut and remove it, when I extract the fork pin from the column, will the bearings come falling out? Can I safely remove the fork pin, remove the entire front end from the frame, put the pin back in, and then put the adjustment ring nut and head back on?
The front end is in great condition and I’d like to keep it that way. Obviously, I haven’t done this before to have seen it, so any additional information is greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
