Paso with ST3 engine

just stumbled over this:

It`s a german forum. Someone put a ST3 engine incl. injection and modified airbox in a Paso 907ie after the original engine gave up at 130.000km.
It won`t be readable for most, but there`re links to several pictures until the topic drifts off as it happens so often ...

By the pics it seems to me a 907, no matter, the nicest transplant I saw was that 888 (or 851, I can't remember) engine on a Paso 906 :lick: .

I've got a rolling chassis (frame, forks, rear suspension, and wheels) from a 1988 Paso 750 that I would love to install a newer FI engine into. I keep thinking about either a 750 or 900 from a Monster or SS. I've also been thinking about installing the USD forks, wheels, and brakes from a '94 SS900 that I have laying around. I think it would make for a really good project.....if I can only get the title to the frame. I figure a totaled Monster or SS with damaged frame for a donor bike would be perfect.

if the price for a used engine wasn`t as high as the one for a used Paso a Testastretta would be a cool choice

Remember that the most powerful air cooled is nowadays 1000 dual spark, with M900 camshaft... Or someone has made good cams ready for 1100?

they have more grandiose design because they, obviously, are not satisfied by only 2 valves' engine

I also am going to buy a 888 :lick: .
