907 Forks - oil weight and volume......

Hi all. Am in the process of having someone rebuild the forks on my trusty 907 (92 model with stock forks). The manual states in 2 different places to "fill the tubes to either 180 or 160MM (I think 160 is correct here) from the top with no springs inside and the forks fully compressed. Anyone know the proper VOLUME (ounces or ML's) of oil that's needed here and the correct weight of oil? If so, please email me at "sungamma@aol.com" as I don't check this forum too often. Thanks in advance........

Thanks,

Gary

no one knows???

You mean to tell me that NO ONE out there in PASOland has the answers to these questions? C'mon guys, surely SOMEONE has rejuvenated Paso forks at least ONCE in the past......

Surely at least i know!

907IE: 180mm without spring, fork totally compressed. 180mm means 390ml. I have measured that!

750 Paso: 160mm, what means 350ml. Measured also that!

I use normally 5W oil, what fits well to Nordic countries. But surely someone want use some other viscosity. I accept his/her choise also. No need to "fight it" here...

.... typical to Italians....  As many knows, there have been many "funny" things in Ducati factory very many times... And surely also those manuals, etc. translations have been very bad quality always.... I :funny: to them quite often....
