Wiring upgrade

Hi John, just tried your upgrade with relays, but without success.
All circuits went dead!
I've gone back to standard and although I now have power restored, I still have the original non-starting problem.
My bike differs slightly from yours, in that it has TWO coils, one on each side rail. Would this make it unsuitable for your mod?
Cheers

Nope, they are the same. I have 2 coils too.
You had no power at all?

Hi Jon
Absolutely dead as a DODO! No power to instrument console,no sign of life at starter solenoid, not even a click!
I'm certain I followed your instructions, I had the print-out beside me as I worked.
The coils were the only difference to your photos, I just made up a "Y" wire and put one on each coil and took the ORANGE wire to the relay (terminal 86 ?)
I got the relays from a local autoelectrician who assured me they would be OK after seeing your upgrade print-out (which I left with him for reference to get my order ready).
They are not genuine Bosch, they are Guardian GR7 12V- 40A/15A. Do you think they could be the cause?
If it stops raining I may venture out and have a look at the starter motor as the solenoid makes a healthy "click" when the starter is pressed but even with the kill switch off and a leisure battery jumping it it wont turn over at all !!
