The book says to measure the float height with the gasket removed however the carby overhaul experts suggest to have the gasket in place when measuring the float height. Any other experts, (or people that know what their talking about), out there know what I should do?
Cheers

I never found great differences in 1 mm level of the floater... Moreover from the 0.5 mm thickness of the gasket. The weber is not so sensible to this... Best setup weber needs is balancing vacuum at about 2000 rpm

Thanks for that. Just being a bit pedantic I guess!
