Mikuni's at High Altitude

Does anyone here have experience rejetting Mikuni's for high altitude, in my case a base elevation of 5000 ft (1524 m)? The nice roads here (in the mountains) only go up from that point.

I was told that earlier mikunis had troubles because of low temperature in the floater's basins. (0 to -5 C°) So they put an oil pipe to heat them up
