Whats it worth?

Ok how much should one spend in buying a 750 or should you give it a miss and go for the 900
A 750 with zero miles on it, a bit dusty and with a broken mirror, imported from Japan, sold quickly here in New Zealand about a year ago for NZ$10,000 (about US$7500 at the time).
I've read that the 750 two valve motor can be smoother than the 900 two valve. I've ridden a few 900's, and they've been OK.
