I think it's time that we built a 906 specific technical FAQ-thread the way we have been building one in the 750 forum. I'm by no means a 906 expert but can troll thru the threads to find what I think might be important but it's the users of the forum that really know what's unique and needed to populate this FAQ. Connecting an ELECTREX regulator/rectifier:

Electrex to original wiring
yellow -> both pink (alternator)
yellow -> red (alternator)
white -> light blue (charging warning light)
red -> red/black & orange (battery +)
green -> black (battery -)
(the brown wire of the Paso wiring loom formely going to the regulator is not used any longer)

Note: If the measured voltage between the two yellow wires from the alternator (which are pink when they get to the regulator/rectifier) is between 50-100V you should wire the reg/rect as shown on the first picture of the instructions hence connect yellow 1 from the reg/rect to one yellow(pink) wire from the alternator and yellow 2 to the other. In this case the red wire from the alternator isn`t used and can be isolated. Install like this if the first wiring instructions don`t work. (To check simply connect a voltmeter to the battery. When the engine is started and the regulator/rectifier is connected correctly the voltage will increase i.e. from 12V to ca. 14V)
