Devo87,
I am also in Christchurch, bought a wreck 5 years ago, have changed to Mukuni carbs, hone and rings, clutch, rectifier probs, rebuild heads, clutch slave sleeve/rebuild, 2 repaints etc etc etc and in the process of changing to 17" rear.
I could probably give you some good info.......how to....where to go, etc :phone:

Sounds like you are lucky and have Tony as an invaluable local resource to help save your Paso. You may want to find out what Tony's favorite beer is and stock your fridge.

welcome, I guess one of the first things you`ll want is:

http://www.desmotimes.com/product70.htm

I have one of those. It`s currently being powder coated. I`ll make a drawing when I get it back as I figure it`s not hard to make one yourself.
Good luck with your rebuild. Upcoming frustration will be gone the first time you hear the bike and when you ride it

PS: to post pics upload them on ie photobucket.com (you need to register but it`s for free), then when posting in the forum copy the direct link of the picture into your post after you clicked on "Img" which you`l find above your editing window. So then it is

Devo87,

When did you buy the Paso; it's just I remember seeing a white one advertised on TradeMe last year, that was from Christchurch, that looked like it needed a bit of help?
Lots of assistance from this site, hope we can help.

Fraser.

Ouch, the broken engine case is really a bad deal. It could require a complete tear down to make a repair or replace. I had the output bearing fail and chew up the case. I bought a new bottom end instead of tearing it down.

We're here to help!
