When converting to 17 “ wheels, has any one used the 280 front rotors with some kind of adapter to fit the wheels? It looks as if on this F1 there is fitted an adapter. :

And if so, where do i get such a pair?

it`s a 750 Sport. However I doubt that there are many 17" conversions keeping the small brake discs.
As it seems the adapters are part of the PVM wheels, here`s a pic I found on another german page:

With all of the diagrams and a source or two for adaptors for caliper conversions to the M1R forks, I don't know why a person would want to keep the smaller rotors/older calipers instead of converting to the 320mm rotors and 4-piston calipers that go with the 17" wheels. I know I'd prefer to have the better brakes of the newer bikes, plus, brake pads and other components (ie - rotors, calipers, rebuild kits) are usually easier to find for the 320mm systems. If I ever convert over to 17" wheels, I will also be converting to the 320 rotors and 4-piston calipers, also.

You are properly right. It was only because that there are no discs with the wheels that I have just purchased and the discs on my 16” are quit new.

I changed the whole front brake system (Brembo full floating rotors, newer goldline calipers, 999's radial master cylinder and braided lines).
I'm very, very happy.
Ciao

I changed hole 907 system(with steel braided lines) to my 750 Paso, but still original iron rotors.. I am also very happy to it now.... I want to keep that combination also, when i swap 17" wheels and then add 320 rotors(from 92 907).

It is often stated that you have to be careful as to which brake pads you use with cast iron rotors. I've read in several places that you can
NOT use sintered pads (such as EBC HH pads) which are designed for stainless rotors. Using sintered pads with iron rotors can wear out the rotors really fast.....anyone else know of this and can confirm it?
