K&N filter

What kind of K&N filter will fit on the 907IE?
I tried to search on the forum but I wasn't able to find anything.
I bought the DU 0900, which fits on the 750, but also on the 851/888/900SS etc, but I found out it is higher than the stock kind, and I guess it doesn't fit well into the airbox.
Can someone tell me something more about?
Ciao

Uuuuummmmhhhh,
I'm doubting it's a DU 0900, because it seems to have an higher shape.

It seems to me it has to be fitted in an airbox with a modified lid.

Francesco,

I fitted one in mine as well. the fit was more difficult as the orginal filter. It seemed to me that the foam sides of the filter are thicker, because the latches were more difficult to close. A firm push did the job.
I still have box of K&N filter. I'll look for you and let you know what is says.

Same spare part no f all 90`s 2V Ducs.
The higher one is "race", but fits.
Have you tried it?

I have tried to fit it in my spare airbox, but I haven't pressed too much the lid to avoid damaging it. If it doesn't fit, I would get back it to the seller.

Has it to fit without any modification to the airbox lid?

Both, normal and "race"(higher)would fit without any problem to normal Paso airbox... at least mine fitted, cause i have both.... Now i use that normal in my 907 and that "race" version in that bike, what i use "dayly", like its now in my ST2. I cant remember number codes just now....

Do you think I'll need to adjust the carburation when I'll fit that filter?

The DU-0900 won`t require carburation changes.

As he say, no need richer chip, but if change to more open exhaust, then need to adjust mixture(new chip).

I'm amazing: in that web page there is the "vehicle applications" of that filter.
It seems that filter fits only on some cars and not on the bikes.

Just tried the high "race" filter in my 907 airbox. Fits mine w/o problems, including lid.

The airbox on my 750 has a section cut-out on it! I have #754693, can anybody tell me if this necessary or should I cover this cut-out back up (it has a K&N filter).

It seems that the fitting of that filter in some airbox requires a modification to the lid.
Specially, on the 851/888 and on the SS series, that filter fits only cutting the lid.
I think that when the lid is cut out the engine should better "breathe".

guys be careful. This is the 907ie forum and Debonair has a 750.
The airboxes are totally different. May ge a good thing to cut the airbox lid on a 907ie, but I wouldn`t do this on a 750.
