Do they look/function basically like this:
http://www.ducatisuite.com/superbikemufflers.html
with 3 chambers & endcap?
Guess you`ll have to open them att both ends to modify them.
Any knowledge and pics would be appreciated!
(Why? Because I like the looks of the original and I`m checking all options.)

Hi Gert,
I think they'll look that somehow
The 907 canisters are welded. grinding down the weld is not so difficult.
changing the internals can be done also.
But what kept me of doing so is that it is not sure that after the welding you have a muffler like new wirhout any discolourations and deformations.
I believe the 907 /'92 had a aluminium liner over de steel canister. In that case you might have the possibility to cover up the weld.

I've opened an st 944 muffler to build the prototype I've installed on my dukess, and it was basically done in the same way.
Anyway, shortening the lenght of the internal labirynth might be a downgrade for engine performance!
Have a look in my gallery to see how I solved the problem!

Why is that? Most performance mufflers is just a straight 40-50mm hole straight though?
Where is your gallery?
