I have a buddy with a 906 that needs a new stator. Will any stator from the early 90's fit the 906??

according to here most stators are the same

which does not correspond to the lists I have. I.e. in the Stein-Dinse catalogue it lists only 750/906/851 ´89 stators as the same.

Quessing, that all "900cc water cooleed engine" stators from that time were same, 906, 907, 851, 888,etc...
