I have been trying to locate a rear master cylinder for the 1987 Paso 750. Anyone know a source in the USA?

Please help as my local Ducati shop can't seem to get me one! Thanks, Dan

You would though need to verify the mounting hole distance (50mm I think it is) and if it`s the same size (PS12). It`s marked on the housing.

I have a spare, but it needs to be rebuilt. I believe I posted on this site, somewhere, the rebuild kit that is needed. I contacted Brembo a year or so ago and the guy gave me the kit # that is needed.

Yeah I talked to a Brembo rep. and can get a kit to rebuild mine but it takes 90-days to get. I'm really looking for one ready to bolt on. The rep. also said I could order a 40mm and use a braket to install since they don't make the 50mm anymore for the Paso. Thanks!

You may want to try to contact MotoWheels (http://www.motowheels.com) or Bevelheaven (http://www.bevelheaven.com) to see if they might have a rebuild kit in stock.

Thanks for everyone's help. Ducati shop in Dallas put me in touch with a place in Colorado called TAW Concepts. They were able to order me a kit and also recommended a rear master cylinder that I could get immediately which will require a bracket for mounting. That's because I will have to go from 50mm to 40mm so the holes won't line up properly. According to them it takes 90-days to get a kit and they also supply them to Bevel Heavan which did not have any in stock. I can highly recommend Jolene at TAW Concepts if you have questions about Brembo brakes. She can be reached at 888-235-0910 toll free. After the master cylinder is installed, I'm good to go. My new Paso has 3500 original miles and was in storage for many years. I just had the Weber carb. cleaned, new belts, air filter, all fluids changed, and new Michelin 16" tires which took a while to locate but I got the last pair from a place in the Pacific Northwest.

What is the actual problem with your rear master cylinder that it needs to be rebuild ?
I have 2 old ones. One came from the bike and one is a spare that was stored dry for years (which is no good for the rubber parts inside). The piston of one pump hardly moved at all. I opened both to clean them and both had some crystalized stuff inside. After cleaning both worked very well. No need to renew parts.

Yest, I will share the design when the work is done. A mechanic friend who is helping me said the rear master cylinder was no good so I'm not sure why. He is a retired Ducati mechanic so I just took his advice. H.
