REAR TAIL LIGHT

Ha anyone tried fitting a retro tail light to their Paso.
I have a european lens on mine and the left indicator lens has a small chip and crack in it a replacement seems unlikely to be available although I could get hold of an american spec.
I am though keen to update with a LED system.

So any ideas on what might be available?

Has anyone done something different ( I am not looking for anything too radical as I am keen to keep the whole shape there still).

I take it no one has done this?

Anyone one using LED bulbs then?

I tried on the search and really didn't see what I was looking for as mine is the 907 I tried in this thread I know everyone looks but it was worth a punt. As no one seems to have any recent news on this I shall try myself with a few of my own ideas.

Thanks anyway

I bought a Euro taillight lens from the Ducati dealer last year, I think it was about $80 but still available.

they are out of stock and unavailable. If you found one you were lucky. If your dealer still has some buy them all :)

You were very lucky with finding that lense. Was it in shops sleves??? Or did they ordered it from soewhere? Here in EU area its not anymore possible to find new one, so only way is to search used one from wrecked bike. I quess, that some shops have them still in shelves and its only way to find new to ask it from every dealer. I asked it 4 years ago from Ducati importer here in Finland and they told, "sorry, not anymore possible to get such froom Ducati/Italy(factory)" :smoke:

I tried such some years ago, but i wasnt satisfied to "amount of light", what they give, but it can be, that now LED tecnology is little better already, so its worth to test some new ones. Those mine was quite cheap from "far east". I returned back to normal bulbs!

Problem in Paso rear light is, that bikes frame have so much vibrations, that normal bulbs dont least so long in rear light, but fortunately normal bulbs are very cheap and easy to change....

Btw, there are in USA markets some bright led rear lights to ST series for sale, but price is still quite high(especially import to EU area)

I think, soon we can find better/cheaper LED systems to our bikes, so dont be in hurry...

I would need to check but my last info was that it is the same as with the instrument panel. You can`t get the clear cover, but the whole unit can be ordered.
I`ll ask.

Did you only try it on rear light or with LED`s on indicator bulbs also?
Would be nice to have more intense light from indicators, too.

Have managed to buy a second hand fairly decent and undamaged european complete rear light today for £30.00. so will be playing with the other.

Out of interest has anyone used those LED Boards used in a couple of Monsters within the light unit as these look like they may fit - there is an American company that also does one with the flasher unit attached aswell - trying to locate the details on my local Monster forum as I write.
