Hi all,

I need to replace the shock absorber on my 1992 907ie. :(

Anyone got any recommendations/lessons learnt he/she wants to share?

The best price I got so far is 450 euro + approx 50 euro of labour.

Thanks,
ltbauzo.

I have just got some spares off this chap on ebay, the bike he parted seems to of been well looked after

Do you really need a new set up? I don't know the guy personally apart from the bits I collected.

I have not seen or handled this item but if it is in the same condition as my other bits then you won't go far wrong and it is a lot less euro out of your pocket than a new one.

I know he only shows UK post if there is a problem let me know and I will sort this end and post on.

maybe worth a thought.

I had mine rebuilt by a factory authorized dealer in California for around $100 US if I remember right. If you need the address, let me know and I will go see if I can dig up the information.
Battery acid had ruined the plastic dial on the bottom and they replaced it as well as rebuilt the unit. I was satisfied with their work.

Welcome on the forum.
Are you really sure you need a new shock?
Probably, you could have your one rebuilt cheaply.
I bought the Marzocchi's overhauling kit from a german seller on eBay, but I guess it could be still available at the Ducati dealers.
Besides, I guess a good specialized technician could rebuild it without that kit, too.

P.S. I'm going to move soon to Piacenza or Cremona, so I'll happy to know another Pasochist   ...

Ciao

No matter!
A paso owner requires at least:
1) a wife,
2) an extra lover,
3) a girlfriend for weekend
   :-P

Very interesting point!
I wonder if I'll be able to "manage" all those women.
I often have some problem with the only one I have (wife)...
