Hello !
I just moved to France from USA, I would like to buy a Paso 906, I never had Ducks, I rode Guzzis and helped a friend do the desmo work on his 900 Monster.
I heard the Paso has carb problems, electric problems and clutch bearing problems.
I'm an aircraft mechanic, had 3 Nortons, a Royal Enfield, a Velocette and many other bikes.
I love the looks of the Paso, so sould I buy or not?
Many thanks.
Looking forward to having new friends.
George

Buy a Paso or any other Ducati. I recently bought a Ducati (750 Sport). I had never owned a Ducati before, but I have found mine a pleasure to work on and ride. After looking at the list of motorcycles you have owned, you will have no problems with a Ducati.

The 906 is pretty well sorted with regard to Electrics and Clutch stuff. The Weber carb can be a pain to sort but it can be done and it will run fine.
The 907 is Fuel Injected and very solid.

Greetings! Indeed, why not go for the end of the line, the 907 -- injected, 17" wheels, and can still be had for "reasonable" money.
Here's one on eBay (Item number: 280308598456) in the US, for example, and no doubt some good machines are available in Europe:

(Usual disclaimer: I have no stake or interest in the sale.)

I'm a Paso lover since 1986.
I had a 906 in past and now I have two 907.
If you mean to ride the bike, buy a 907.
It's a more modern bike, fuel injected and less prone to electrics' failures like older Pasos.
Besides, you will not have ANY tires' issues, which is the biggest problem of the 750/906 Pasos.
If you only mean to collect the bike, the 750 probably is the nicest Paso.
Ciao

Antti,
You have enough road bikes, get ride of the 907 and go for the Cagiva Elephant. Time to get dirty.
The Elephant will be well suited to your Finnish roads and of course you are then able to explore all those dirt and gravel roads also. Cheers.
Fraser.
